How to become a Christian

Good News!

Everyone likes to hear or read good news. God loves each and every one of us! He loves us so much that He sent his one and only Son, Jesus, to die for our sins. In fact, the Bible reads:

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life.-- John 3:16

This Good News means that God wants a personal relationship with you through His Son, Jesus Christ.

Romans 1:1-4
1 From Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus and an apostle chosen and called by God to preach his Good News.
2 The Good News was promised long ago by God through his prophets, as written in the Holy Scriptures.
3 It is about his Son, our Lord Jesus Christ: as to his humanity, he was born a descendant of David;
4 as to his divine holiness, he was shown with great power to be the Son of God by being raised from death.

Romans 10:13-15
13 As the scripture says, "Everyone who calls out to the Lord for help will be saved."
14 But how can they call to him for help if they have not believed? And how can they believe if they have not heard the message? And how can they hear if the message is not proclaimed?
15 And how can the message be proclaimed if the messengers are not sent out? As the scripture says, "How wonderful is the coming of messengers who bring good news!"

1 Peter 1:24-25
24 As the scripture says, "All human beings are like grass, and all their glory is like wild flowers. The grass withers, and the flowers fall,
25 but the word of the Lord remains forever." This word is the Good News that was proclaimed to you.

Revelation 14:6-7
6 Then I saw another angel flying high in the air, with an eternal message of Good News to announce to the peoples of the earth, to every race, tribe, language, and nation.
7 He said in a loud voice, "Honor God and praise his greatness! For the time has come for him to judge all people. Worship him who made heaven, earth, sea, and the springs of water!"
